A childless couple ‘adopt' a tree stump that resembles a small boy and the wife's desperately needy love transforms the inanimate into the living. Unfortunately little Otik's appetite is considerably more advanced than the average baby and soon the adorable little chunk of wood is devouring the neighbourhood. Adapted from a Czech folk tale, Little Otik is a deliciously dark and imaginative film.
